How We Train

Our approach is rooted in compassion, science, and real-life success. We focus on helping dogs and their humans feel safe, understood, and confident in their life together.

Our training is:

  • Science based, positive reinforcement methods

  • Trauma-informed

  • Relationship-focused

  • Rooted in trust and communication

  • Adapted to your dog’s individual needs

  • Designed for real-world application

  • Curated with your dogs L.E.G.S. in mind

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. Every dog and every person is different, and your training plan should reflect that.

What We Can Help With

We work with a wide range of training goals, including:

Everyday Skills

  • Basic to advance obedience

  • Leash walking

  • Jumping, barking, counter surfing

Behavior & Emotional Support

  • Fearful or shy dogs

  • Reactivity

  • Building confidence

  • Strengthening engagement and focus

Not sure if your situation fits? Reach out—we’re happy to help guide you.

What to Expect

During your private session, we will:

  • Get to know you and your dog

  • Discuss your goals and challenges

  • Coach you through hands-on training

  • Build a personalized, practical training plan

After your session, you’ll receive:

  • A written summary of your plan

  • Resources such as videos or guides

  • Clear next steps to continue progress at home

Our goal is to leave you feeling confident, supported, and empowered.

Specialized Behavior Support

To ensure the best outcomes for dogs and their families, we refer out certain cases that require specialized care:

  • Severe aggression → Veterinary behaviorist

  • Severe separation anxiety → Certified separation anxiety trainer

These behaviors are far more complex than training alone can address. In order to give you and your dog the best steps forward, referring you to these specialists will find you the quickest path to success.
