What sets CIC apart from other therapy dog trainings and organizations?
Along with working through general obedience skills, CIC trainings are grounded in the connection between your dog, your community, and you. Our intention is to give you the tools for your dog and you to work as a team during an active, pro-social therapy dog session. Every training session will include breathing exercises and elements of meditation to calm humans and dogs to create a positive, mindful training space.
Canine Inspired Change therapy dog programming blends social-emotional learning with dog training for groups of students in 6-12 week intervals. Most sessions are facilitated in a group setting with multiple therapy dog teams working on dog skills and moving through an agility course while emphasizing teamwork, kindness, confidence, and compassion.
