How can Canine Inspired Change support your community?
Cheer Visits
Our Cheerleader Squad is available for one-time visits to local schools and are designed to provide immediate joy and emotional grounding. Unlike our curriculum-based sessions, the Cheer Visits focus on traditional therapy dog interactions — think "meet and greets," stress-relief breaks, and a calming presence during challenging days. Our CIC Therapy Dog "Cheerleader" teams are vetted for their love of crowds and their calm, adaptable natures, making them the perfect "paws on the ground" for schools in need of a morale boost or a grounding presence.
Provide stress relief for students during midterms or testing dates, experiencing difficulty during times of community distress, and spread the calming effect of a Therapy Dog’s presence. Educators, administrators, and school staff can also benefit from moments of peace with the Therapy Dogs so that they can better provide for their student’s needs.
Dogs don't require words. For students who may feel overwhelmed, a dog offers "unconditional positive regard." This allows students to process emotions through touch and presence without the pressure of having to explain how they feel.

Events
CIC is all about community! The canine companions in our lives help build connections with our friends and neighbors. Invite CIC Therapy Dogs to an event at your organization to share the word of how Therapy Dogs can benefit your school or organization. We have attended events like Twin Cities Pride, NAMI Walks, Bald Eagle Lake Art Crawl, Pet Central Block Party & more!
When you invite CIC to your event, we can recruit our Therapy Dog teams to join! Please ensure that the space is suitable for dogs to attend; including access to water, climate controlled areas, and access to outdoor bathroom areas.
